0. Introduction

The Business AI Alliance (BAIA) is a collaborative network advancing responsible AI innovation, adoption, policy, and growth in the UK. This Code sets out how members are expected to behave across BAIA events, communications, and shared platforms. It complements the Terms and Conditions (Website) that govern website use and membership.

1. Respect and Professionalism

  1. Treat all members with courtesy and respect.
  2. Debate ideas constructively. Disagreement is welcome; disrespect is not.
  3. Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour of any kind is prohibited.

2. Integrity and Transparency

  1. Be honest about your organisation, role, and intentions.
  2. Declare any conflicts of interest that could influence discussions or outputs.
  3. Do not use your membership to mislead or communicate false representations.

3. Constructive Collaboration

  1. Contribute knowledge, insights, and opportunities in good faith.
  2. Follow the Chatham House Rule unless discussion is clearly marked as shareable.
  3. Respect moderators’ or organisers’ guidance in meetings and channels.

4. Responsible Communication

  1. Use BAIA channels (e.g. WhatsApp, meetings, mailing lists) for collaboration and not unsolicited marketing campaigns.
  2. Keep content professional and relevant to community interests.
  3. Do not share members’ personal information or internal discussions without consent.

5. Confidentiality and Data

  1. Protect information shared in confidence within BAIA.
  2. Handle member and organisational data in line with UK GDPR and BAIA’s Privacy Policy.

6. Participation

  1. Engage actively in at least one of BAIA’s key themes: Government Procurement, Right-Size Regulation, or UK AI Growth.
  2. Share insights, case studies, or challenges that help shape collective outcomes.

7. Breach and Enforcement

The Alliance may warn, suspend, or remove any member whose behaviour breaches this Code. Decisions are made fairly by the BAIA organising team to uphold community integrity.

8. Acknowledgement

By joining BAIA, you agree to follow this Code in all BAIA-related spaces and activities.
